Cameroon is the world's 53rd-largest country! Tourist writing elucidates Cameroon as "Africa in miniature" because it has all major climates in the continent; it has coast, desert, mountains, tropical rain forest, and savanna. Douala, Yaoundé, and Garoua are the largest cities in Cameroon.

Cameroon situated in west of Africa, has history, culture and a perfect example of landscapes that could place it nowhere else but Africa. It is also relatively peaceful and safe and sound by the regional tendency for terror. Douala is the largest city of Cameroon & is the 27th most expensive city in the world and the most expensive in Africa. Yaoundé is the capital of Cameroon and second largest city in the country after Douala.

Cameroon Tours can never be complete without a visit to Doula and Yaounde which are two very important towns of Cameron. The city Yaoundé is home to most of Cameroon's national monuments and also has several museums some of which are definitely worth visiting. The western highlands of the country are famous for its mountain scenery, waterfalls and lakes, and the altitude of the place accounts for its cold climate.
Douala:

Douala situated on the Wouri River, 24km (15 miles) from the sea, is the largest city of Cameroon. It is sometimes called Armpit of Africa and we have to admit it is a sweaty place. It lacks major sights, but the Akwa district is lively enough and has quite some good African restaurants.
The major attraction in town is the Hotel Akwa Palace. To sit on the terrace and have coffee is the best way to spend a relaxing morning. The Musee de Doula is in the Hotel de Ville on the second floor. It gives you a pretty good intro in Bamoun and Bamileke art, very useful if you want to buy something later on. Close to the Museum is the Place du Government with its Chinese Pagoda - built by Rudlof Douala Manga Bell, a local ruler who was executed by the Germans in 1914.

Yaoundé:

Yaoundé: City of seven hills, cut by valleys and found almost at the center of Cameroon. Yaoundé was occupied in the prehistoric times .Tools and shaped stones dating 600 thousand years were found there. In 1889, the German built a military post on that site. In 1909, Yaoundé became the capital of the country under German colonization. Yaoundé was originally occupied by the Beti, more specifically by the Ewondos, the autochthons of the place. Today, it has a cosmopolitan population. Yaoundé is the seat of institutions.
Touristic Sites:
Cathedral, National Museum (former presidential palace) constructed by a French architect: BEZE, it served as French governor s residence during colonialization. The Djoungolo temple, entirely constructed with stones in 1937 by an American, William Caldell Johnston. The Museum of the Benedictine monks of Mont Febe. The Mvog betsi zoo about a km from melen market , with a surface area of 485 ha .It is an excellent touristic site with species ranging from amphibians , rodents to a wide variety of birds , eg : the moustached guenon , Putty- nosed monkey, they are assisted by CWAF . The Central market, Mvogbi , Madagascar and Mokolo . The reunification monument, the Palace and statue of Charles Atangana , The municipal lake of Yaounde , The Holy Mary Sanctuary of Mvolye Yaounde is also the town of moutains has the special view of ecotourism.

When to Visit:

In general the best months to visit are the winter months between November and February, although it is also during that time that the Harmattan haze may periodically obscure the landscape.
